  142. exhibitions, lectures, and conversational evenings.  They also have a
  143. really great party on July 14.  Downstairs is a small museum to Marcel
  144. Carne, furnished with memorabilia of the maitre himself.

  146. Out of Town news.  Accross the Harvard T station (Cambridge).  Very large
  147. collection of non english magazines and newspapers.

  149. Schoenhofs Foreign Language bookstore.  Harvard Square, Cambridge.  Very
  150. large selection of novels, poetry, history and more (Asterix too!), all
  151. in French.  They also have many general and specialist dictionaries.

  156. France, so there are French magazines and newspapers at many newstands.
  157. This is especially true in Soho, Greenwich Village, and the Upper East
  158. Side.  The following stand out:

  160. French & Spanish Bookstore (in Rockefeller Center, and at 5th & 19th).
  161. Very large selection of books in French and Spanish, from the sublime to
  162. trash.  At the Rockefeller center store, some recordings, magazines, and
  163. newspapers.  Dictionaries of all type and description, e.g., technical,
  164. business, pictoral, and french to other languages than english.  There are
  165. more dictionaries at the 19th St. store.  Fairly expensive.  Staff is
  166. helpful and usually speak French (or Spanish).

  168. Hotalings (212-840-1468, 142 W. 42nd st., Broadway/6th Ave) has magazines
  169. and newspapers from all over the world and the United States.  If you're
  170. looking for a major paper or magazine from Europe, North America, or South
  171. America, this is the store for you.  If you don't see it, ask: many
  172. tourists and expatriates raid this place for their favorites as soon as
  173. they arrive.

  335. station seems to carry a lot of programing orginating in Quebec, News,
  336. information and sports of interest to Quebec.  Also they carry films in
  337. french, moslty American films that have been doubled.

  339. SRC (CBC francais) is on Anik E-2, located at 107.3 degrees west, on
  340. Transponder 15.  Carries much the same as CFTM, but also has cartoons,
  341. and once in a while movies from France.

  343. CBC on Anik E-2, transponders 07,11,17,19,20 on CBC Late Night sometimes carry
  344. movies from Quebec or France with English subtittles.

  346. TV5 - La Television Internationale, on Anik E-1, Located at 111.1 degrees west
  347. on transponder 17, carries a lot of programing from France, also a limited
  348. amount of programing from Switzerland.  Occansionaly plays from the theatre
  349. in Paris (I think this from the credit, but not sure), and news from France.

  351. Scola on S-1 24, at 120 degrees west also carries French News, but I am 
  352. not sure of the schedule.
